Paint brushes have been flying!!

I have been pretty busy lately. I decided to pick up my paint brushes again.
I started out 8 yrs ago tole painting and progressed to sewing.
I hadn't painted in a few years but got out some paint books and started so projects.
I thought I would get a bit of a start on Fall and Christmas items. Here’s what I've done so far…

I also have a dollie and gingerbread dollie almost finished.
I will post pics of them as soon as they are finished.

Still here...

I have had a busy month but I think I'm back. I had my Aunt from Florida here, my daughters graduation and party and I was sick for nearly 2 weeks but I am trying to get back in the swing of things.  I am planning on starting an Annie dollie from my favorite pattern by My Raggedy Dolls and I have some cell/camera cozies, wallets and business card holders to add to my Etsy shop. So I would like to thank all my followers for hanging in there with me.         So until next time :)

Over the weekend, in between working and taking care of Tori, I will start to show samples of some the the business cards and address labels I offer.

Here is the first…

I’ve had a LONG week

And I’m tired. My youngest daughter Tori has been having asthma issues. Her asthma usually doesn’t give her trouble but she had a cold last week but never got rid of the cough. Monday she came home from school with a temp of 103! We did manage to get it down to 99 but the cough just got work, so off to the Dr. Tuesday morning. After an hour visit and breathing treatment, she was given a prescription for steroids and another inhaler. My poor baby was up til 2am coughing. I figured I would give it another day to let the steroids kick in. Thursday, still no change, so back to the Dr. we go. We had the exact same visit, another breathing treatment, oxygen levels good, no fever and was told she just has a viral infection that has flared up her asthma. UGH So today she is much better, still coughing but better.

On top of that, my laptop has been freezing the past couple days, grrr, very frustrating! So since I still have warranty, I give HP a call, ran some tests, did this and that, then was informed I would have to do a system recovery!!! OMG! WHAT!!??!! So after the recovery was complete, I realized…I didn’t back up any of my TONS of patterns, graphics, pics, music, nothing!!! GONE GONE GONE
It just makes me SICK! Luckily most of the patterns I have purchased, were emailed to me. But WOW, the graphics I have collected, no more! Thankfully I did contact 3 of the sites that I could remember purchasing from and they have allowed me to re-download my purchases. THANK YOU!
I did find a few discs with some of what I lost that I saved from my old laptop, so I feel a bit better. In looking through those discs, I found LOTS of my graphic items that I use to make, business cards, address labels, Etsy banners, avatars. I missed those. So I think I will start to create more of those kinds of items and offer them to you!

Up to my elbows in salt dough

I finished up several sets of salt dough fillers and will be making more :)
I plan to add them to my Etsy shoppe this evening.

A day behind

As usual, Im late!

Happy Valentine's Day!

But I did manage to get several things done.

I got a doll body all sewn and stuffed, more muslin soakin in a tea bath,

another postal run and dropping off my Valentine's for our ACOL Valentine Treasure Hunt!

I made lots of fabric lollipops to share. 

I left them around town and hope they will make someone's day!

I did manage to get a few pics before my phone died :(

Placed at the park, I had to put it on top of a trash can, it was kinda windy yesterday and didnt want to leave it on a bench to blow away,

At the post office, I was kind of worried they would think I was leaving a bomb or something LOL

This one is at our local Kroger :)

I left 3 more, at a McDonald's, at a tanning salon and a hotel lobby.

Well Im off to get ready for work, I hope to be more active on my blog, I would love to get to 100 followers, so I can have a giveaway!

This is a test, this is only a test. I am writing this blog from my new phone, how cool is that?

Procrastination, yep that’s me! :(

I have it bad!! I need help hehe Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow? Right? WRONG!!! I cant do it anymore.
I have tons on my plate at the moment, DH has recently lost his job, unemjoyment hasn’t kicked in yet and the bills haven't stopped. I only work part time as a housekeeper for an “outdoor” hotel and working outside in this Michigan winter, well lets just say it “sucks”. My itty bitty checks just don’t cut it. I feel like I am drowning. Can someone throw me a rope?!? LOL
On top of the stress Im being forced to take, I have so many projects that Ive started and need to finish. I just cant manage it, after working (making an average of 15 beds, cleaning 15 bathrooms, toilets & tubs and so on at work) I come home, do the littlest I can that needs done around the house, fix dinner and hit the couch. I  usually don’t watch a lot of TV, but WOW, these past couple weeks, I can almost tell you daily what's on the tube!
So I really need to get my butt in gear!! Momma needs to create, list and SELL!

So, enough of that, don’t need to depress anyone else, I have finished an item or two, my Valentine rag balls actually sold after a couple hours of listing them, good, cuz I need the cash!

I do have a Valentine Annie on her way, some more camera/cell phone cozies to finish, although I haven't sold the other ones yet so maybe I need to move on to something else.

Well here are a couple pics, Im going to get busy today, since I have 2 days off!

Oh yea, I hope to update my blog layout too, since Christmas is over :/
